Jesse Eisenberg's Lex Luthor Revealed

After much fretting and wringing of hands, it has finally been confirmed.  Jesse Eisenberg's Lex Luthor is bald.  We can all go home now.

In a photo released by Entertainment Weekly, we finally get a shot of the Lex Luthor we will see in Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice.  This brings us close to knowing what all headlining characters will look like, mostly lacking in color, but not much else.

The visual tone of the movie is definitely coming more and more into picture, but there is still very little known, with only the title and the Aquaman picture's caption of "Unite the Seven" giving us any official plot hints.

Zack Snyder promises a fresh take on the character of Lex in the EW article.

“He’s not any of the Lexes that you’ve seen, that’s for sure.  Other than him being a captain of industry and one person to the world and another person to himself. And bald, of course... Our Lex is disarming and he’s not fake.  He says what he believes and he says what’s on his mind. If you can unravel the string and decipher what he means, it’s all there.”

Although that description sounds basically like the Lex Luthor any comic readers may have been familiar with for years, that's not the exact same Lex we've seen in previous live-action incarnations, which is likely what Snyder is referring to.

With the movie coming out in less than a year at this point, the trailer that has been considered imminent for months now can't be around many more corners.  The newest rumors say that it will either be unveiled at Wonder Con, which is April 3rd-5th, or before Mad Max: Fury Road, on May 13th.

The trailer was also rumored to be before The Hobbit: The Battle of Five Armies, Super Bowl XLIX, and Jupiter Ascending, though, so all rumors should be taken with a grain of salt for now.  With the level of secrecy surrounding this movie, don't be surprised to see them hold off even longer on a trailer.

It'll all be here before we know it.

So how do you feel about the Lex Luthor look?  Do you think Eisenberg has what it takes?  Sound off in the comments!
