More official photos from Avengers: Age of Ultron

We just saw the first official image of Ultron, via Entertainment Weekly's new cover, but the publication has made some additional photos available as well.  None quite as exciting as the Ultron cover, but there's definitely some cool peeks we haven't seen yet.

This first photo is something we haven't seen yet.  It looks like the gang is back together (additional characters are off screen, as evidenced by the glasses in the corner), except with the addition of Don Cheedle's Rhodey!  We don't know how much he'll be featured yet, but I wouldn't be surprised to also have an Iron Patriot appearance before it's all said and done.

This next image looks like some set photo's we've already seen, but it's the first official photo of Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch, played by Aaron Taylor Johnson and Elizabeth Olson (who played brother and sister in Godzilla earlier this year).  We've seen a tease of them from the button scene in Captain America: The Winter Soldier, but we have yet to find out exactly how they factor into everything.  They will likely be at odds with the Avengers initially.  Audiences were wowed with Fox's scene stealing version of Quicksilver from X-Men: Days of Future Past, so ATJ definitely has his work cut out for him.

Next up, we have Scarlett Johansson's Black Widow being all Black Widow.  It looks like she has more red in her wrists, but that's it.  This character hasn't changed drastically since Iron Man 2, so hopefully Joss Whedon has something up his sleeve for her.

Here's Chris Evans and Liam Hemsorth as Captain America and Thor.  It would appear they are in someone's house.  Someone that has children, possibly.  I love the new Captain America outfit here.  The red accents look great.  It's a phenomenal modernization of his retro look.  Also, there's a small red Avengers logo on the shoulder.  More on that below.  Thor is Thor.  There's definitely some changes to his outfit, but I wouldn't consider it anything special.

It looks like Jeremy Renner might finally get to do more of the Hawkeye he signed on for.  He looks kind of like Robin Hood in this picture.  It'll definitely be nice to have him play a bigger part in this movie.

Here we have RDJ and Mark Ruffalo as Tony Stark and Bruce Banner.  This is an exciting shot, because their relationship was teased in a lot in Avengers and the Iron Man 3 button scene, but hopefully we'll be able to see some extensive Banner/Stark geek outs.

Here's a set photo of the fearless leader, Joss Whedon, along with Elizabeth Olsen and Jeremy Renner.  Joss has teased a much darker tone to this movie than the first Avengers.  Hopefully we'll have at least a teaser next week at Comic-Con.

And ere we have a nice shot of everyone's wardrobe.  Notice the Nick Fury trenchcoat in the back?  Also, the ted Avengers logo on Cap's shoulder.  I don't see any other Avengers logos on the other outfits, but maybe they're located somewhere else?  It's interesting to only have it on the one.  Maybe there'll be a story element around that.

Altogether, this movie is looking amazing!  The tone from these images looks great and it's exciting to see these characters share the screen again.  This movie comes out May 1st 2015, so it'll be here before you know it!  We'll have Guardians of the Galaxy in a few weeks, then some more Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. this fall, so we might get some more set-up from those installments.
